Why are Sperm Donors needed?

The process of having children is often taken for granted, with most people not thinking about infertility until they are unable to have children. This realization can have far reaching implications for many people. However, one in seven couples seek medical advice at some stage in their lives in order to achieve a pregnancy. In approximately 30-40% of cases, the infertility is due to an abnormality in the man’s sperm, or poor or no sperm production (sterility). One method of achieving a pregnancy for such couples is to use donated semen in a procedure known as Donor Insemination (DI). For this to be possible it is necessary to have a supply of (donated) viable sperm. This is provided by men who agree to become sperm donors.

Would you make a suitable donor?

To be a sperm donor you should be aged between 21 and 42 years and free of serious medical disability and without a family history of inherited disorder(s). You should be able to commit some time each week over a period of three to six months whilst you are taking part in the programme. Moreover, you should be willing to keep in contact with the centre for up to one year if you are accepted.

Who cannot be donors?

There are a number of reasons why a man cannot be accepted as a sperm donor. This is to minimise the risks of transmitting infection to those women inseminated with the donated sperm and to minimise the risk of transmitted common genetic diseases or malformations to any children born.

Wanna make some money just masturbate and ejaculate at any sperm donation centers and earn between Rs .500 & Rs.1000 per ejaculation An entire industry is waiting out there with plastic jars to collect this liquid assets and pay for it in cash.

Every sperm donor has one thing common that he cannot tell anyone that his is the one . For instance, the parent of a 20-year-old student of a college , will never know the truth about how their son pays his mess bills from the meagre allowance they provide him. Nor will his wife, when he eventually marries.

But why does he hide it from his family? After all, he isn’t committing a crime, is he?. His viewpoint on the merits of openness garners sympathy from Dilip Patil, director of Cryos International, Mumbai’s first international sperm bank. “It’s understandable. Our society still considers masturbation as something unacceptable and shameful,” Patil says.

The moment you enter the waiting room of Patil’s sperm bank in Mulund on the wall hangs a picture of a beautiful, naked, blonde, her palms pressed together in prayer, her face raised to the sun in hope. The sun, from the top right of the frame, is directing at her beams of golden light that, on closer inspection, turn out to be a veritable golden army of squiggly little sperms, millions of them, racing each other to engulf her in a tan of supreme fertility.
Seated below the picture of the blonde praying for sperms, are three youngsters who have the power to fulfill her prayer. They look nothing like the sun, however, though one of them is from IIT, Powai. The other two are commerce and science students from city colleges. All are between 19 and 21 years old. And unlike poor Pawar from Aurangabad, they’ll be paid at Mumbai rates: Rs500 per ‘ejaculate’ or about Rs4,000 a month.
One after one, they will get up, and disappear into what Patil calls the ‘masturbatorium’. The tag on the door is more prosaic, and only says ‘donor room’.
In the ‘masturbatorium’
The masturbatorium is to masturbation what the auditorium is to the audience: people come there. The room is small and cozy, not unlike the inner sanctum of a temple. Affixed to the wall in a glass case is the temple’s shapely deity: a porcelain figurine in a blue-and-red bikini. She has no face, no arms, no legs, and presumably, no brains either because her head is hollow (a sprig of flowers leans out of it). A female torso, with all but the relevant parts amputated. If there is a patron deity of masturbation, this has to be it.
All around the bikini goddess, the walls are covered with photographs or paintings of women dressed just about enough to make it to a room like this. Considering the quantity of female nudity on display, does he ever worry about the police harassing him on obscenity charges? “Not at all. Even before we set up this office, just to avoid such situations, I called the cops from Mulund police station to come and see everything. They saw these pictures and since it was for a medical purpose, they understood the requirement completely,” says Patil.
Beneath all the luscious women, positioned strategically to one side of the room, is the ultra-comfortable PUF foam bed where the ‘manufacturing process’ is meant to take place. On a table are back issues of Gladrags magazine. Right on top of the pile is a special ‘swimsuit’ issue. It contains pictures of the many avatars of the bikini goddess who’s imprisoned in the glass case. To make life easy for donors who don’t believe in the print media, there is a flat screen TV and a DVD player, on which you can watch porn for a noble cause.
A pamphlet pasted to the wall issues clear instructions, “Be careful not to spill the ejaculate. The best quality of sperms are (sic) in the first part of the ejaculate.” In the far corner of the room is a clock embedded in the buttock of a well-endowed woman. It is ticking. “Usually a donor takes about 5 to 15 minutes in the room,” informs Patil.
